About the Series

We have recently moved from our former site at Brookline Booksmith to Hunneman Hall at the main branch of The Brookline Public Library, 361 Washington Street in Brookline Village.

Our events last two full hours, beginning at 7 p.m.

Suggested donation is five dollars.

We begin with an intro. reader, usually someone who has published a chapbook and in journals.  This person reads for 15 minutes, followed by our feature readers (see archives and current season), who read up to 30 minutes.  After this we go into our “award-winning” open mic.  Because of fierce demand, we’ve had to limit poets to one poem each.

We encourage all poets, new and seasoned, to participate in our open mic, which many of our regulars and some of our features have said is the best part of the evening.

The Friends of The Brookline Public Library are helping us in our move to the new site, and we are grateful to them for their support.
